This is a great watch. It does do much and I have absolutely no interest in fishing. The highlight for me is the vibration alarm (can be set to go off five different times). This makes for a great mindfulness cue. It can also be helpful in social settings where you don't wish to broadcast the alarm (beware, however, that you may miss in entirely because th evibration feature is subtle -- subtle enough not to disturb the fish, I imagine).
There is also a great stop watch feature and it shows you the phase of the moon. There ios a lot more but this is all I care about at the moment. I highly recommend this watch. I also believe no aprt of the band is leather. .
